Autumn
Dear Friends,
Well, autumn is certainly with us now. The nights have drawn in, and it's not going to be too long before we start thinking about preparing for Christmas - if some of us haven't started already!
November is often a time when we can pause and look back at the year that has been. For some, this year will have brought real delight and much joy. We also need to recognise that for others, it may have brought some very difficult, challenging, and painful times.
At the beginning of this month, the Church celebrated All Saints' Day on the 1st - a day when we celebrate all the saints who have shown us God's love in the world. We also marked All Souls' Day on the 2nd, remembering those we have loved but see no longer. We will soon come together on Remembrance Sunday to honour those who gave their lives in service to others.
It’s a season that invites us to pause, reflect, and, above all, remember. We can do this in so many ways - sitting quietly with a candle, listening to some music that means something to us, or simply going for a walk.
Whichever way helps us, let's remember that we are remembered before God.
May God’s peace be with all whom we remember this month.
Until next time, have a good day.
Yours in Christ,
