About the Parish

The Parochial Church Council

Stained glass window

The two churches in the parish are managed by the Parochial Church Council (PCC) as part of the wider Diocese of York.

The PCC meets regularly to hear about, discuss and decide on matters of local concern. It also looks at wider issues affecting the Deanery of Derwent in which we are situated, the Diocese of York and the Church worldwide. Accounts are published regularly and there is an Annual Parochial Church Meeting to report on all aspects of church life.

The PCC is responsible for many decisions made but always seeks to act in the interest of the parish as whole. It is particularly concerned to promote the church's witness and service to the local community in ways that seek to make Christianity real to people in their everyday lives.

We are always looking for ideas to further our work and we welcome comments, enquiries and suggestions.

Please contact the Churchwardens for further information.
